Delete your account

You can delete your account inside the app. There is nobody to contact and nothing to wait for.

Steps

1. Open KOINews and go to 我的 in the tab bar
2. Make sure you are signed in — your username and points show at the top
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
4. The confirmation says what you are about to lose; tap Delete account to confirm

It takes effect immediately, and the app returns to its signed-out state.

What is deleted

• Your username and password
• Your email address, if you added one
• Your point total and last check-in date
• Every article you saved

These are deleted immediately and permanently. There is no undo, no cooling-off period, and we keep no copy for "restoring" an account.

What is not deleted

The sources you follow on this device. They live on your phone, never belonged to the account, and 关注 keeps working after deletion.

Afterwards

• The old username and password no longer sign in.
• Any other device still signed in is signed out the next time it is used.
• The username becomes free again — anyone, including you, can register it. That is a brand-new empty account and carries nothing over.
• Browsing trending lists is unaffected; it never needed an account.
