For a bug, the device model, iOS version and roughly when it happened make it much easier to trace.
Common questions
Do I have to register?
No. Following and browsing never need an account — the sources you follow are kept on your own phone. Only the daily check-in and saving articles need signing in, because those have to follow the account onto another device.
Does registering need an email?
No. A username and a password, and no third-party login. Once signed in the app suggests adding an email, which only prepares for account recovery later; it can be dismissed, nothing depends on it, and we never send mail to it.
I forgot my password.
There is no password recovery yet — it needs a mail-sending service, which is left to a later version. If you are locked out, write to us, or register a new account.
How do I delete my account?
Open 我的 in the app, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. It takes effect immediately, and your points, check-in history and every saved article go with it.
What are points for?
Nothing, for now. They are a marker for coming back each day. They buy nothing and affect nothing.
Is the content yours?
No. KOINews only gathers the trending lists platforms publish openly — headlines and heat figures — and opens each entry at the site it came from. We do not store, republish or alter any article; the content belongs to those platforms and their authors.
A list is stale or will not open
The data comes from each platform’s own public list, so a redesign or an outage on their side means we cannot fetch it. Send us the source name and roughly when, and we will look.
